After being stuck for five days in the desert, we could finally resume our trip!! Along our way to Karratha, which was still over 2000 k's away, we stayed amongst others in Broome, where we camped for a while. As we got banished from the caravan park for some stupid reasons, we slept in the dunes during the following nights, together with some girls from Switzerland, who had decided to join us for a few days. Throughout the day we went fishing, swimming and surfing and one time we even found a massive turtle, that had gotten entangled in the reef after the low tide.
Moreover we paid the Malcolm Douglas crocodile park a visit, that had a wide range of different alligators, which we could watch being fed. Apart from that it was bursting with animals I have never seen before, such as the Dingo that resembles a dog, the echidna and platypus, which are the only egg-lying mammals in the world, the cassowary (by the way the weirdest bird I've ever seen), of course the kangaroo and not to forget the emu.
Unfortunately our money was drawing to a close, so we had to leave our adventurous and unwinding life behind to finally get going and find a job in Karratha.
However during this period I got extremely intrigued by the Lee's and Joel's way of interacting: they were always concerned about looking after one another, sharing everything and helping each other out wherever they could. This is something I also noticed about former hosts and other Aussie people we met and which I tried to acquire.
